About the position

The Integration Engineer position at Global Credit Union involves actively participating in the development and improvement of APIs and systems integrations with the Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP). This role requires collaboration with multiple Product Development Teams to provide development for integrations that support products designed to achieve strategic business outcomes. The Integration Engineer will take initiative in feature and user story development, executing responsibilities, and collaborating with team members to ensure successful project delivery. In this role, the engineer will work closely with Product Development Teams to develop, test, document, and deploy solutions on the Enterprise Integration Platform. This includes developing API layers, data models, and specifications, as well as utilizing platform components of the EIP to create robust APIs. The position also requires the engineer to perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results, ensuring that all integrations align with the organization's strategic goals. Candidates for this position will be assigned to one of four categories based on their education and experience: Integration Engineer I, II, III, or Senior. Advancement within these categories will require management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and performance. This role is essential for driving the technical capabilities of the organization and ensuring that integrations are efficient, secure, and scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in developing and improving APIs and systems integrations with the Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP).
  • Collaborate with multiple Product Development Teams to provide development for integrations supporting products designed to achieve strategic business outcomes.
  • Take initiative in feature and user story development, executing responsibilities, and collaborating with team members.
  • Develop, test, document, and deploy solutions on the Enterprise Integration Platform.
  • Develop API layers, data models, and specifications.
  • Utilize platform components of the Enterprise Integration Platform to develop APIs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS or equivalent work experience.
  • At least one year of professional experience in a software development team is preferred.
  • Exposure to the design of public and private enterprise secure services using REST based APIs including SOAP based APIs.
  • Exposure to SOA integration and API management technologies and standards.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps practices and methodologies and with Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, tools to test software applications/systems, and with development/modeling tools.
  • Passion and willingness to continue learning and utilizing up-and-coming technology trends.
  • Experience with C#, .NET, Java, and RDBMS development including T-SQL.
