About the position

The Integration Engineer role at PSEG is designed to support the interfaces and interconnections required for the MWMS Electric and Gas applications. This critical business application necessitates 24/7 support, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining the interfaces for MWMS Electric, which includes tasks such as bug fixes, handling support calls, and preparing for storm-related challenges. Additionally, the role involves implementing small enhancements as business needs arise, ensuring that the system evolves in line with organizational requirements. As an MWMS Interface Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Integration Engineer will participate in various project discussions to analyze the impact on MWMS, assessing design decisions to ensure that there is no adverse effect on MWMS functionality. The position also entails performing platform-related maintenance activities, which include recycling credentials, addressing security vulnerabilities, renewing certificates, and updating to new versions of the platform. This multifaceted role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and performance of critical business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the interfaces for MWMS Electric, including bug fixes, support calls, and storm preparation.
  • Implement small enhancements as business needs arise.
  • Participate as an MWMS Interface SME in project discussions to analyze impacts on MWMS and assess design decisions.
  • Conduct platform-related maintenance activities such as recycling credentials, addressing security vulnerabilities, renewing certificates, and updating to new versions of the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing solutions leveraging the MuleSoft platform and/or AWS API Gateway using APIs and web services technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of MuleSoft platform capabilities and architecture with experience in administration and deployment (On Cloud, On Premise, and Hybrid).
  • Strong knowledge of API design patterns and programming standards.
  • Desirable to have at least 1 MuleSoft technical certification.
  • In-depth experience in all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle.
  • Experience integrating with Salesforce and SAP; experience with SAP XI/PI is highly desirable.
  • Experience mentoring junior level resources, consultants, and clients while leading internal initiatives.
  • Technically savvy with proven experience in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and teammates.
  • Ability to work independently on well-scoped and loosely scoped problems.
  • Flexible and willing to accept changes in priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong ability to learn new business and technical concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in API development.
