About the position

KBR is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in the full range of system development and integration, from Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to system testing and acceptance. This role is critical in providing Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) and Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) services, focusing on the integration and operations of complex mission systems and supporting IT infrastructure. The Integration Engineer will work closely with team leads, program managers, and acquisition professionals to validate acquisition strategies and ensure they support technically feasible outcomes that meet customer needs. In this position, you will be responsible for integrating new systems and initiatives in support of customer and mission partner requirements. You will collaborate directly with developers and users in operations to understand system-to-system interfaces and act as an integrator. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of presentations and reports, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project goals and progress. The successful candidate will have extensive experience within the Intelligence Community, particularly with National Reconnaissance Office Mission Partners, and will be well-versed in GEOINT or Multi-INT systems and architecture. You will be expected to identify user and enterprise requirements, conduct gap identification and analysis, and create brief packages for technical requirements, implementation plans, risks, and success criteria. Strong project management skills are essential, as is the ability to quickly and concisely brief project status to senior leadership. Familiarity with cloud-based product offerings and specifications is also required, along with extensive experience in Agile processes and the delivery of new capabilities. Candidates must be willing to sign and adhere to Non-Disclosure agreements and possess an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly, maintaining this security clearance throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) and Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) services with a focus on integration and operations of a complex mission system and supporting IT infrastructure
  • Working with team leads, program managers, and acquisition professionals to validate an acquisition strategy and its ability to support a technically feasible outcome that meets the customer's needs
  • Integrating new systems and initiatives in support of customer/mission partner requirements and working directly with developers and users in operations
  • Understanding system-to-system interfaces and acting as an Integrator
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations and reports

Requirements

  • A technical degree: 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD
  • Extensive Intelligence Community experience and work history with National Reconnaissance Office Mission Partners
  • Experience with GEOINT or Multi-INT Systems and architecture
  • Experience as a System Integrator
  • Experience identifying user/enterprise requirements, gap identification and analysis
  • Experience creating brief packages for technical requirements, implementation plans, risks, and success criteria
  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to quickly/concisely brief project status to senior leadership
  • Familiarity with cloud-based product offerings/specifications and ability to offer solutions
  • Extensive experience with Agile process and deliveries of new capabilities
  • An active TS/SCI with CI Poly, and ability to maintain
