Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the Marine Corps Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment.
  • Design and develop systems that meet customer needs for training and mission readiness.
  • Evolve training systems with advanced technology solutions.
  • Integrate software, hardware, and network capabilities to create a persistent training environment.
  • Translate real-world needs into technical specifications for system development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with distributed modeling and simulation and systems integration.
  • Experience creating virtual machines, such as VMWare, Hypervisor, or Virtual Box.
  • Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols, such as High-Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS).
  • Knowledge of Joint C4I tactical systems, such as Link 16, GCCS-J, or USMC C4I, including AFATDS, C2PC, CAC2S and JADOCS, or Army Mission Command Systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles associated with creating virtual and constructive environments.
  • Knowledge of networks and networking concepts.
  • Ability to utilize network and distributed modeling and simulation tools, such as Wireshark, Redsim, SIMDIS, or RTI-s.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or Information Technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Team Awareness Kit (TAK).
  • Experience with JLVC, JECS (Joint Exercise Control System), JCATS, JSAF, JLOD, JDLM or ACE-IOS software.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps Training and Education Command, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Center, and associated Battle Simulation Centers.
  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps Synthetic Training Environment, Force Design 2030.
  • SEP Certification.
  • Enterprise Architect Certification.
