The Integration & Test Engineer I/II at Rocket Lab plays a crucial role in the development, testing, and deployment of flight spacecraft systems. This position is based at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, and is integral to the Space Systems organization. The engineer will be responsible for leading and owning integration and test campaigns at various levels of spacecraft development, ensuring that all systems meet the required specifications and performance standards. Collaboration with team members is essential to define system requirements and develop comprehensive verification and validation plans. In this role, the engineer will develop acceptance, qualification, and research and development test plans for spacecraft systems. They will also be tasked with maintaining and operating environmental test systems, including vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal, and electromagnetic interference tests. The engineer will develop and maintain mechanical and electrical ground support equipment and facilities, interfacing with ground test software and implementing flight software configuration changes. Additionally, they will lead investigations into any anomalous vehicle behavior and interface with hardware-in-the-loop test systems. This position can be filled at either the Integration & Test Engineer I or II level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The role requires a strong technical background in engineering, particularly in areas related to spacecraft systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
