About the position

Actalent is seeking a full-time Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our team and support a leading Department of Defense (DoD) organization in Syracuse, NY. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within the Aerospace and Defense industry, where you will be involved in critical projects that contribute to national security and technological advancement. As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the performance and reliability of complex systems, particularly in the realm of modern digital radars and sensor integration. In this position, you will be responsible for performing system performance analysis, which involves evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of various systems. You will also engage in the development, testing, and implementation of radar equations, which are essential for the functionality of radar systems. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing existing analysis tools, focusing on both functionality and graphical user interface (GUI) improvements to facilitate better user interaction and data interpretation. Additionally, you will conduct system-level analysis and data processing, which includes data simulation and visualization tasks. This will require you to develop comprehensive requirements and design documentation to guide the integration and testing processes. You will be expected to provide weekly project status updates and actively participate in status meetings to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Furthermore, you will perform Product Line Baseline Management Processes, utilizing the project configuration management tool set established by the program to maintain project integrity and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform System Performance Analysis
  • Perform development, testing and implementation of radar equations
  • Perform development and improvement on existing analysis tools including functionality and GUI improvements
  • Perform system level analysis and data processing including data simulation and visualization
  • Develop Requirements and Design documentation
  • Provide weekly project status and attend status meetings
  • Perform Product Line Baseline Management Processes utilizing the project configuration management tool set by the program

Requirements

  • Understands integration planning for large systems
  • 3+ years of Hands-on Systems Integration and Test experience on modern digital radars (or experience integrating some sort of sensor)
  • Testing with Electrical/RF/SW experience
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
