About the position

The Engineering Services Test Technician position at MSR Technology Group involves performing moderately complex technical tasks under direct supervision at the Interiors Engineering Development Lab. The role focuses on supporting engineering projects related to the testing and building of commercial aircraft seats and furniture, providing technical assistance, and collaborating with engineers on various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Works with peers/engineers to build and test commercial aircraft seats and furniture
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks
• Confer with engineers on details and implications of test article build, test procedures and results
• Occasional overtime including weekends will be required.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Minimum 3 years related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient with a variety of hand tools
• Proficient with basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts
• Basic computer proficiency
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
• Working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretations

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace or automotive
• Experience working in a testing and quality assurance environment
• Well-organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment
