About the position

The Integrations Data Engineer III position is a critical role focused on the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) feeds that support various modern architecture projects. This role requires in-depth hands-on knowledge of modern integration platform solutions, file and database ETL processes, XML transformation, web services, and ensuring data security, integrity, validity, and reliability at the enterprise level. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical consulting to peers, management, business analysts, and technical associates, while also collaborating with the architecture team and the larger enterprise Integrations Community of Practice. The position is structured as a full-time role, requiring the candidate to work on-site in Cleveland, Ohio, with a commitment to handle off-hours production deployment and issue resolution. Candidates must be prepared to relocate to Cleveland within a month of acceptance. This is a temp-to-permanent position, with a conversion salary range of approximately $80,000 to $100,000 based on prior work experience and skill set. The role is expected to operate Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour workday. Candidates will undergo a two-step interview process, starting with a meeting with the department manager via Teams, followed by a second interview with other department members if selected. It is important to note that candidates will be responsible for their own car parking arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise ETL feeds.
  • Provide technical consulting to peers, management, and business analysts.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team and the enterprise Integrations Community of Practice.
  • Handle off-hours production deployment and issue resolution.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, validity, and reliability at the enterprise level.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with the entire software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, integration testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • 3+ years' experience building file-sourced ETL feeds on Talend Open Data Studio.
  • 3+ years developing ETL between formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, and Database.
  • 2+ years developing or administering solutions in an enterprise application platform such as Java EE.
  • Advanced understanding of XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, and WSDL versioning best practices.
  • Advanced understanding of Enterprise RDBMS, ER Diagrams, and developing SQL programs.
  • Experience using SOAP/RESTful APIs in Talend ETL.
  • Strong ability in designing reusable and highly performant solutions.

  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Experience with Dell Boomi Integration Platform-as-a-Service.
  • Experience developing, securing, and optimizing data feeds using public cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture concepts.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices concepts.
  • Fundamental understanding of API Gateway / API Manager concepts.
  • Knowledge of authentication utilizing LDAP compliant technologies and authorization through SAML tokens.
  • Experience in creating/maintaining deployments using ANT or MAVEN scripts.
  • Experience in working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience in using Jenkins and Git.
