About the position

Our busy integrative medical office is seeking a highly organized and efficient Receptionist to manage the front desk and ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, managing patient schedules, taking over-the-counter payments, managing patient files, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office. The Receptionist will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for patients and will be the first point of contact for those entering the office. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Key responsibilities include greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner, managing the front desk to keep the reception area clean and organized, and ensuring that patient schedules are managed efficiently. The Receptionist will also be responsible for collecting over-the-counter payments, maintaining accurate patient files, assisting patients with necessary paperwork, and providing information about the services offered. Coordination with medical staff is essential to ensure that patients receive appropriate care, and the Receptionist will also perform various administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry. This role is vital to the overall patient experience and the operational efficiency of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner, making them feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Manage the front desk and ensure that the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Manage patient schedules and ensure that appointments are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect over-the-counter payments and manage patient billing information.
  • Maintain patient files and ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist patients in filling out necessary paperwork and forms.
  • Provide patients with information about our services and answer their questions.
  • Coordinate with the medical staff to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist or in a similar role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Knowledge of chiropractic, physical therapy, weight loss, functional nutrition, and regenerative medicine is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service (1 year preferred).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology (1 year preferred).
  • Computer skills (1 year preferred).
