The position requires a highly skilled individual with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in IP Litigation, specifically within a law firm environment. The candidate will be responsible for creating, organizing, reviewing, and maintaining litigation case files, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. This role involves monitoring litigation dockets and due dates, as well as managing litigation calendars using CompuLaw. The successful candidate will compile, assist, and prepare court filings, which includes proofreading, cite checking, and assembling exhibits and appendices for District and Appellate courts, as well as the International Trade Commission (ITC). In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will need to maintain proficiency with the mechanics of e-filing using U.S. District Court CM/ECF filing systems and the USITC EDIS filing system. The role also requires performing factual and legal research in various databases, including LexisNexis, Westlaw, Docket Navigator, PACER, EDIS, and the USPTO. Coordination of document collection, review, and productions in collaboration with litigation support and third-party e-discovery vendors is essential. The candidate will proactively manage all phases of fact and expert discovery and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow and delegation of responsibilities to team members. The position also involves preparing materials for depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations, as well as attending and providing support to attorneys at court and agency proceedings, including the ITC. Mentoring junior paralegals and temporary staff as needed is also a key aspect of this role. The candidate must be flexible to work overtime on an as-needed basis and be prepared to take on miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.
