About the position

Quarles is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to assist with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution across multiple clients and technologies. This role involves coordinating filings, analyzing correspondence, and managing deadlines, while ensuring exceptional client service and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating filing new applications.
• Analyzing USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence.
• Tracking due dates via matter management and docketing systems.
• Proactively preparing client reporting's and prosecution documents.
• Communicating with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, staff and clients regarding prosecution matters.

Requirements

• At least 5 years working with intellectual property, primarily in patent prosecution.
• A minimum of 2+ years of law firm experience.
• A bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and expertise working with an extensive patent prosecution docket.
• Exceptional client service focus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize and multi-task effectively.
• Outstanding communication (oral & written) and organization skills.
