The Intelligence Analyst at Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is responsible for conducting investigations to document, locate, preserve, and collect evidence of criminal activity. This role involves coordinating information sharing within the agency and with external agencies, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulations. The analyst will perform detailed analyses of evidence and prepare comprehensive reports, while also providing testimony in legal settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations to assist in technical investigation of criminal and non-criminal scenes related to physical evidence collection, evaluation, and utilization.
  • Perform analysis of evidence using physical, chemical, optical, and digital methods.
  • Prepare detailed reports of activities performed during analysis and investigations.
  • Design charts, graphs, and other visual aids to explain associations and relationships of criminal participants and activity.
  • Provide testimony on investigations and analysis techniques in legal and administrative hearings.
  • Perform telephone toll analysis and analyze applications on phone dumps.
  • Examine records and governmental agency files to find identifying data about suspects.
  • Submit recovered items of evidence to investigative personnel.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong typing skills and grammar proficiency.
  • Time management skills.
