About the position

The Intelligence Educator role is focused on planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive training program that meets the professional development needs of employees within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). This position requires a deep understanding of the Intelligence Community's mission and operations, as well as the ability to evaluate training needs and develop effective instructional methodologies. The educator will also support the design and delivery of training materials that are compliant with Section 508 standards, ensuring accessibility for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, deliver, and maintain a quality organizational training program that supports mission requirements.
  • Evaluate and conduct in-depth analysis of current and future training development needs based on employee skills and gaps.
  • Oversee the development, scheduling, delivery, and evaluation of training courses and workshops that are Section 508 compliant.
  • Provide support to training program designers by applying knowledge of the organization's mission to produce relevant training materials.
  • Identify and select resources to develop training programs that meet employee needs, providing guidance and feedback to ensure effectiveness.
  • Develop expertise on training and development needs using industry best practices to become a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the ODNI and the larger Intelligence Community mission and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of training programs and instructional methodologies.
  • Experience applying adult learning principles to course design and instruction.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment on time-sensitive issues and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a fluid environment with changing requirements.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and initiative in carrying out responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, mentoring junior colleagues.
