About the position

The Intelligence Officer (Collection Requirements Management Multi-INT) position at the Department of Defense involves representing the Collection Requirements Management team across various working groups and committees. The role focuses on validating and prioritizing high-level collection requirements, advising stakeholders on optimal collection techniques, and anticipating collection challenges. This position requires a strong understanding of collection-related services and the ability to assist analysts in developing their intelligence needs.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Collection Requirements Management team in IC-wide and multinational working groups to discuss validation and prioritization of high-level collection requirements.
  • Advise requestors on optimal collection techniques and practices, and stakeholders on the role of intelligence collection and management principles.
  • Anticipate collection challenges or opportunities and prepare alternative courses of action to satisfy intelligence gaps.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of collection-related services, concepts, principles, and practices, including Geospatial Information and Services.
  • Assist analysts in developing their intelligence needs, EEIs, and PIRs, and create collection strategies with other CRMs.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of collection management principles and resource utilization is essential.
  • Ability to advocate for organizational requirements across the DoD and IC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous CCMD and interagency collection management experience.
  • CCMP-F Certification (Certified Collection Management Professional - Fundamentals).
  • Understanding of collection management tool capabilities and architecture.
