About the position

Amentum is seeking an experienced Watch Shift Intelligence Operations Analyst to support an upcoming contract at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. The role is critical in maintaining a 24/7 mission command capability for the INSCOM Leadership. As the single focal point for the interface between HQ INSCOM, its Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs), supported units and organizations, the Department of Defense (DoD), the Army Operations Center (AOC), and the Intelligence Community, the analyst will be responsible for responding to inquiries from various leadership levels, including the INSCOM G-3 Directorate and IMCC leadership. This position requires the application of critical thinking methodologies to resolve complex problems and conduct thorough analysis, development, production, and delivery of intelligence products. This includes responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), drafting executive summaries (EXSUMS), information papers, and delivering oral presentations. The analyst will prepare and conduct Shift Change Briefs/Updates, providing summaries of key points to senior leadership. Continuous monitoring of news media outlets for situational awareness is essential, particularly for reports that may impact INSCOM and Army equities. The role involves maintaining surveillance of global situations, reporting significant events, and coordinating responses according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Battle Drills. The analyst will also monitor various networks for events that could affect INSCOM operations, including natural disasters and military incidents, and will be responsible for disseminating critical information and reports to appropriate personnel. In addition, the analyst will track and disseminate Theater Significant Activities (SIGACTS) and Serious Incident Reports (SIRs), ensuring compliance with IMCC SOPs. The position requires the ability to receive, summarize, and archive all INSCOM SIRs and shift activities, as well as disseminate HQDA Execution Orders and other critical communications. The analyst will also maintain the INSCOM Common Operation Picture (COP) and prepare daily executive-level Battle Update Briefs to provide timely information regarding global intelligence operations to senior leaders. This role demands proficiency in various tools, including Google Earth, Arc GIS, and Microsoft Office Suite, to develop presentations and briefings effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 24/7 mission command capability for the INSCOM Leadership.
  • Serve as the single focal point for the interface between HQ INSCOM, its MSCs, supported units and organizations, DoD, AOC, and Intelligence Community.
  • Respond to general inquiries from SIL, INSCOM G-3 Directorate leadership, IMCC leadership, and higher Government authority.
  • Apply critical thinking methodologies and processes in resolving complex problems and conducting analysis.
  • Prepare and conduct Shift Change Briefs/Updates and provide summaries to senior leadership.
  • Monitor news media outlets for situational awareness regarding worldwide news reports that may impact INSCOM and Army equities.
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of the world situation for items of interest to INSCOM or ARSTAFF and report accordingly.
  • Monitor NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS networks for worldwide and national events that impact INSCOM operations.
  • Initiate coordination with appropriate staff directorate and draft an INSCOM response according to established SOPs.
  • Monitor, track, and disseminate Theater Significant Activities (SIGACTS) and Serious Incident Reports (SIR).
  • Receive, summarize, disseminate, track, and archive all INSCOM Serious Incident Reports and shift activities.
  • Disseminate, track, and archive all published HQDA Execution Orders, Fragmentary Orders, and Warning Orders.
  • Receive orders for publication from designated personnel and disseminate orders according to established protocols.
  • Compile and disseminate the CG and Senior staff daily-read books.
  • Receive and disseminate all DTRA Treaty messages to appropriate MSCs.
  • Log events, critical information, and distribution contacts into the IMCC Watch portal log.
  • Update and maintain the current list of CCIRs from the CCDRs.
  • Synchronize IMCC operations and intelligence reporting in support of current, emergency, and crisis events.
  • Conduct analysis of operational requirements stemming from messages, plans, and orders issued by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, HQDA, or Commanding General, INSCOM.
  • Provide draft recommendations or responses to the COR or designated personnel.
  • Maintain and update the INSCOM Common Operation Picture (COP).
  • Prepare and conduct daily executive level Battle Update Briefs.

Requirements

  • Current DoD Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • 10-15 years Army or Joint All Source Intelligence experience
  • Completion of MICCC, WOAC or ALC
  • Demonstrated experience as a staff member at Battalion or higher level
  • Experience as a primary staff officer, primary staff section NCOIC or primary staff section warrant officer is preferred.
  • Experience with all-source intelligence processes, data evaluation, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering global situational awareness in support of planning and execution of client missions using automated systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with intelligence automated systems.
  • Working knowledge of the Operational Production, Exploitation, and Dissemination Experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing research and coordination for projects.
  • Experience working with and maintaining databases.
