About the position

As an Intelligence Analyst Operations Team Member for the CISA Integrated Operations Coordination Center (CIOCC) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the nation's Critical Infrastructure. This position requires you to be actively involved in various tasks during your shift, which is part of a 24x7x365 operational environment. The role demands a high level of responsibility, as you will be tasked with researching, analyzing, composing, editing, and reviewing products that are vital to the operations of the CIOCC. You will also perform initial analyses of information related to questions, issues, or events that impact the nation's Critical Infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include the collection and transfer of information between shifts, ensuring that vital information regarding critical infrastructure, cyber threats, and key resources is effectively communicated. You will be expected to perform triage on various inquiries and events, evaluating current information to develop responses to critical information requirements. Monitoring a wide range of information sources, including online media, news feeds, and weather channels, will be essential to stay informed about developments affecting Critical Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. In this role, you will need to possess a broad expertise in research, analysis, and writing, enabling you to respond quickly and effectively during high-tempo mission-critical operations. Familiarity with known cyber threat actors, ransomware, and DDoS attacks is also crucial. The position offers fixed shifts, and the company is open to accommodating shift requests, making it a flexible opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, compose, edit, and review CIOCC products.
  • Perform initial analysis of information on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's Critical Infrastructure.
  • Collect and pass information from one shift to the next.
  • Collaborate and share vital information regarding critical infrastructure, cyber threats, and key resources.
  • Perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's Critical Infrastructures, Cyber, and Key Resources.
  • Evaluate current information and develop responses to critical information requirements.
  • Monitor various information sources for updates related to CI and Cyber.

Requirements

  • Broad expertise in research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Experience in one or more critical infrastructure sectors as defined by HSPD-7 and the NIPP.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during high-tempo mission-critical operations.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office automation solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline such as Homeland Security or Business, or an additional two years of experience with an Associate's Degree.
  • For Junior Level Role: 0-2 years of related experience.
  • For Journeyman Level Role: 3-5 years of related experience with at least 1 year of specialized operations center experience.
  • For Senior Level Role: Minimum of 5 years of related experience with at least 3 years of specialized operations center experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience/expertise in emergency management.
  • Knowledge of known Cyber threat actors, ransomware, and DDoS attacks.
