About the position

The Intelligence Operations Specialist at the FDIC is responsible for coordinating and providing counterintelligence (CI) services to protect the agency from foreign intelligence threats. This role involves analyzing foreign intelligence activities, producing intelligence reports, and integrating threat information into risk assessments to inform decision-making and mitigation strategies. The specialist will work closely with various FDIC divisions and external agencies to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide tailored counterintelligence functional services to strengthen the FDIC.
  • Identify, analyze, and report on foreign intelligence entity (FIE) activities directed against the FDIC.
  • Access, research, and analyze all-source information to write finished intelligence products compliant with Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Work with FDIC divisions to identify critical information and assets, analyzing FIE threats to these.
  • Present and integrate threat information into FDIC risk assessments developed by other divisions.
  • Vet visitors to FDIC facilities to identify ties to FIE and inform decision-making.
  • Provide foreign travel briefings and debriefings, and support supply chain risk-based acquisition decisions.
  • Recommend actions to remediate vulnerabilities and address complex CI issues.
  • Engage with CI program management to elicit cooperation and support for CIP objectives.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CG-13 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience conducting all-source research and analysis on foreign intelligence entities' tactics and procedures.
  • Ability to write finished intelligence products compliant with Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Experience briefing threat analysis to decision makers.
