About the position

The Intelligence Operations Specialist (CISA) position at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is a developmental role aimed at supporting counterintelligence (CI) operations within the cleared Defense Industrial Base (DIB). The specialist will assist CI Special Agents in providing functional services, conducting intelligence collections, and maintaining liaison with intelligence and law enforcement communities. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in national security who are looking to integrate across various disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist credentialed CI Special Agents in providing CI Functional Services and support to cleared personnel and companies.
  • Collect, evaluate, prepare, and disseminate intelligence reports, briefings, and summaries.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend countermeasures against Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIE).
  • Maintain liaison with US Intelligence and Law Enforcement Communities to coordinate CI activities.
  • Complete formalized CI training and courses as part of a CI Special Agent developmental program.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Experience in conducting investigations related to national security or counterintelligence.
  • Knowledge of CI indicators and experience in producing briefings related to CI or national security.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in supporting personnel in matters involving CI awareness and foreign intelligence threats.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
