About the position

The Intelligence Operations Specialist (Counterintelligence Specialist) position at the Department of the Treasury's Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OIA) involves providing counterintelligence expertise to assessments, operations, and investigations. The role focuses on evaluating intelligence information to assess the operational capabilities and effectiveness of foreign intelligence entities (FIE). This position is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of Treasury operations against potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of analytical and short-suspense assignments involving counterintelligence-related activities across the Department.
• Provide assessments on the capabilities and activities of foreign intelligence entities and potential threats to Treasury.
• Analyze and process foreign travel reports pertaining to Treasury personnel.
• Conduct counterintelligence collection activities via debriefings, liaison, open source, and classified source research.
• Prepare Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) and finished products.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
• Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
• Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation.
• A two-year trial period may be required.
