About the position

The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is seeking an experienced Cyber Counterintelligence Analyst to join its Counterintelligence Cyber Operations Branch. This position is critical for conducting in-depth research, compilation, and analysis of complex and sensitive information to identify cyber threats to U.S. interests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counterintelligence analysis, production, and collection of information within the cyber domain. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to leverage their expertise in a dynamic and impactful environment. As an Intelligence Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting network traffic flow analysis to identify cyber threats and vulnerabilities exploited by cyber actors. You will also be tasked with identifying, researching, and validating indicators of compromise and counterintelligence-related cyber threat activities. This involves establishing attribution and evaluating the level of threat posed to U.S. networks and communications infrastructures. Enhancing awareness of counterintelligence-related cyber threats and vulnerabilities among internal and external consumers is also a key responsibility. In addition to these duties, you will conduct all-source research and analysis to assess adversary intentions and capabilities. Documenting, reporting, and presenting your analytic findings in both oral and written communications will be essential. You will represent DCSA in cyber/counterintelligence working groups and analytical exchanges, contributing to the overall mission of safeguarding U.S. interests in the cyber domain.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct network traffic flow analysis to identify cyber threats and vulnerabilities exploited by cyber actors and make recommendations for improvements and changes.
  • Identify, research, and validate indicators of compromise and counterintelligence-related cyber threat activities to establish attribution and evaluate the level of threat posed.
  • Enhance counterintelligence-related cyber threat and vulnerability awareness among internal and external consumers.
  • Conduct all-source research and analysis to identify and assess adversary intentions and capabilities to penetrate and exploit U.S. networks and communications infrastructures.
  • Document, report, and present analytic findings in oral and written communications.
  • Represent DCSA cyber/counterintelligence working groups and analytical exchanges.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in the field of cyber threat analysis, including in-depth research, compilation, and analysis of complex and sensitive information.
  • Specialized experience in cyber counterintelligence-focused analysis and production is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to express information effectively in oral communications, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.
  • Knowledge of scientific principles, methods, and processes used to conduct systematic and objective inquiry, including study design, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Ability to develop networks and build alliances, collaborating across boundaries to achieve common goals.
  • Technical competency in understanding and evaluating technical information related to the job.
