About the position

The Intelligence Operations Specialist will serve as a Collections Management Officer within the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). This role involves building relationships to understand customer intelligence needs and providing oversight to regional operations, focusing on counterintelligence collection requirements related to foreign intelligence entities targeting sensitive DoD technology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and manage intelligence collection requirements focused on foreign intelligence entities.
  • Collect, evaluate, develop, and maintain intelligence databases for counterintelligence operations.
  • Write, review, and publish raw intelligence in the form of intelligence information reports (IIR).
  • Produce operational intelligence and evaluate intelligence information reports.
  • Draft source directed requirements and utilize analytic methods in accordance with IC Directive 203.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • 1 year of experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GG-12).
  • Knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, and techniques associated with intelligence and counterintelligence.
  • Familiarity with intelligence gathering techniques and analytical methods.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas orally and in writing to senior officials.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with intelligence collection management databases such as CHROME and CRATE.
  • Understanding of IC collection management processes and systems.
