About the position

The Intelligence Recruiter at SMX is a pivotal role within the Talent Acquisition & Development (TA&D) Team, dedicated to sourcing and recruiting top-tier talent for both client projects and internal teams. This position is particularly focused on candidates who possess a strong understanding of intelligence and mission-oriented work, ensuring that the right individuals are placed in roles that support critical operations. The recruiter will engage with various stakeholders to understand the specific needs of the organization and its clients, crafting targeted recruitment strategies that align with these requirements. This role requires a proactive approach to talent acquisition, utilizing various sourcing methods to identify and attract candidates who not only meet the technical qualifications but also fit the cultural and operational ethos of the organization. In addition to traditional recruiting responsibilities, the Intelligence Recruiter will be expected to maintain a robust pipeline of candidates, leveraging networking opportunities and industry connections to stay ahead of talent trends. The recruiter will also play a key role in the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into their respective roles. Collaboration with hiring managers and other team members is essential to refine job descriptions, set expectations, and provide feedback throughout the recruitment process. The recruiter will also be responsible for tracking recruitment metrics and reporting on the effectiveness of various sourcing strategies, making data-driven decisions to enhance the recruitment process. Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit candidates for intelligence and mission-focused roles.
  • Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand hiring needs and job requirements.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to refine job descriptions and set expectations.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Track recruitment metrics and report on the effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
  • Utilize networking opportunities to stay informed about talent trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in intelligence or mission-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of the intelligence community and related job functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in recruiting for government or defense contracts.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish or Vietnamese.
  • Familiarity with diversity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment.
