About the position

The Intelligence Specialist (Operations) position is a permanent role within the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South in Key West, FL. The specialist will serve as a Counterdrug/Counter-narcoterrorism Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analyst, providing detailed analysis to support tactical operations and plans. This role involves leading complex GEOINT projects, integrating multi-sensor data, and maintaining liaison with various government agencies to enhance intelligence operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed analysis in support of tactical operations and plans as a GEOINT Analyst.
• Plan and synthesize research to prepare GEOINT products in accordance with intelligence requirements.
• Lead complex GEOINT projects and studies as a project leader.
• Integrate and fuse all-source multi-sensor data to develop databases related to drug cultivation and trafficking.
• Establish and maintain liaison with counterparts in other government agencies and analysts in the U.S. Southern Command.
• Maintain knowledge of military, political, technical, and other developments within assigned areas.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for identifying and locating Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) equipment and activities.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of experience at the GS/GG-12 level or equivalent, preparing GEOINT operational products for Counterdrug activities.
• Experience in intelligence-related research, analysis, collections, and/or operations.
• Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle, and organizations.
• Ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, and maps.
• Knowledge of systems and methods for analyzing and disseminating intelligence data.
