About the position

The Intelligence Support Research Analyst - Doctrine Writer at ASRC Federal is a specialized role focused on enhancing Army Intelligence doctrine through comprehensive research, writing, and collaboration. The position involves reviewing and updating doctrinal publications, particularly for division-level intelligence operations, ensuring they meet current operational needs. The successful candidate will engage with various stakeholders to validate and refine content, contributing to the effectiveness of Army units.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update existing Army Intelligence doctrinal publications to align with operational needs.
  • Develop and write doctrinal content for Army Publication 2-19.6, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth research on division-level intelligence operations and integrate findings into doctrine development.
  • Collaborate with intelligence analysts, doctrine writers, and military personnel for consistency in publications.
  • Validate and refine doctrinal content by engaging with operational units and participating in relevant meetings.
  • Provide expert insights on proponent and non-proponent documents to improve Army Intelligence doctrine.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of military intelligence experience.
  • Operational intelligence experience in Army intelligence organizations such as MICO, Division G2 Staff, or ACE.
  • Experience in Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) is desired.
  • A Bachelor's degree in intelligence, security, or a related discipline is preferred, with possible reductions based on relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of intelligence systems, operations, and training.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven capability to conduct thorough research and apply findings to doctrinal projects.
  • Expertise in writing technical documents, including military white papers and SOPs, using standard American English grammar.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and training center visits.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using the Army 365 Teams collaborative platform.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working within an Army Intelligence Analysis and Control Element (ACE) is highly desirable.
