About the position

The Intensive In-Home Counselor position at Dodream Counseling involves providing compassionate, culturally-sensitive mental health support to clients and families in their homes or remotely. The role emphasizes personalized, evidence-based treatment across all ages, utilizing innovative methods to enhance client engagement and outcomes. The counselor will work collaboratively with families and participate in ongoing training and supervision to develop their clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home mental health counseling tailored to meet each client's unique needs and cultural background.
• Deliver evidence-based treatments for clients of all ages.
• Utilize innovative methods, including computerized screenings and assessments, to support individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with families to develop personalized treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions in compliance with practice policies.
• Engage in regular supervision and consultation with the supportive team, building on clinical skills and strategies.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance understanding and effectiveness in working with ADHD, executive function issues, and other presenting concerns.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active, unrestricted clinical license (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC, or equivalent) in New Jersey.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to teamwork.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a registered vehicle.
• Must pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
