About the position

As an Interaction Visual Designer at US Tech Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in defining user experiences that support our Growth initiatives, particularly focusing on 1P & 3P file import and scanner improvements. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with Product Management (PM) and Engineering teams to execute on growth initiatives and the overall product roadmap. You will be expected to propose and respond to UX research findings and product analytics, ensuring that your design solutions are not only innovative but also feasible within engineering constraints. Your work will significantly contribute to advancing our star metrics, which are critical for measuring the success of our initiatives. Your design solutions will span across various platforms, including web and mobile, ensuring a seamless integration with other products in our portfolio. You will be responsible for executing tasks within the scope of broader projects, guided by your manager, team lead, or senior designers. This role will require you to develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, and detailed specifications, effectively conveying your interaction and design ideas to cross-functional teams. You will translate user needs, business goals, and technology constraints into actionable design decisions that drive the product forward. In this role, you will partner closely with UX researchers to establish user needs and mental models, test and validate design concepts, and distill insights that identify areas of opportunity for enhancing the product experience. You will coordinate with product and engineering partners to participate in the product definition process, setting a vision that garners buy-in from stakeholders and leadership. Your collaboration with engineering during implementation will be crucial, as you will hold bug bashes and ensure a high standard of product excellence at each launch phase. Additionally, you will work alongside other UX designers to conduct peer reviews and execute delegated tasks related to well-defined project timelines, goals, and objectives. You will also have the opportunity to identify innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems, responding to evolving design constraints. Your contributions to a design system or design language for the product will be valuable, and you will iteratively improve designs based on UX testing and stakeholder input, with guidance from more senior designers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks within the scope of a broader project under general guidance from manager, team lead, or senior designers.
  • Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, detailed specifications, and presentations to effectively convey interaction and design ideas to cross-functional teams.
  • Translate user needs, business goals, and technology constraints to drive design decisions.
  • Partner closely with UX researchers to establish user needs and mental models, test and validate design concepts, distill insights, identify areas of opportunity for the product experience, and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • Coordinate with product and engineering partners to participate in the product definition process, and set a vision that builds buy-in from stakeholders and leadership.
  • Partner closely with engineering during implementation, hold bug bashes, and ensure a high bar of product excellence at each launch phase.
  • Pair with other UX designers to conduct peer reviews.
  • Execute delegated tasks related to well-defined project timelines, goals, and objectives, and clarify assumptions with stakeholders before creating or finalizing designs.
  • Work with more senior UX designers to deliver design features or services that maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Identify innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems. Respond to evolving design constraints.
  • Contribute to a design system, or design language for a product with some guidance.
  • Iteratively improve design based on UX testing and partner/stakeholder input with some guidance.

Requirements

  • Total 5+ years of experience in UX industry.
  • Proficient in UX Design, Interaction Design, Wireframing, UX Tools, Prototyping, and Human Computer Interaction.
  • Excellent core interaction design skills, and knowledge of user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience partnering with User Research, Product Management, and Engineering peers to deliver user-centered design solutions.
  • Proficient with industry standard tools, such as Figma, to create user flows, wireframes and prototypes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing for and familiarity with Android and iOS application development.
  • Ability to make design decisions that increase the overall appeal of a product based on relevant aesthetic trends.
  • Craftsmanship: Ability to make design decisions that result in a coherent product, platform, or user experience, including the ability to question and assess execution, craft, longevity, and scale of designs.
