About the position

This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service role focused on providing systems engineering and technical integration expertise for the planning, design, development, and analysis of USCYBERCOM Enterprise cyberspace systems. The role involves authoring technical documents, conducting analyses, and serving as a technical advisor on cyber and C4IT enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall systems engineering and technical integration expertise for USCYBERCOM Enterprise cyberspace systems.
  • Authors or participates in the development of future technology.
  • Reviews technical concept papers and develops technical guides for USCYBERCOM programs.
  • Plans and conducts system, network, and statistical analyses to refine requirements for DoD-level IS enterprise architecture.
  • Functions as the technical advisor to the Combatant Command on cyber and C4IT enterprise architecture.
  • Ensures C4 initiatives maintain continuity of purpose and focus on operational objectives.
  • Performs complex studies and evaluations, either individually or as a team member/leader.
  • Documents and publishes the C4 cyberspace enterprise architecture and infrastructure for USCYBERCOM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or a combination of education and experience in engineering or computer science.
  • Specialized experience in planning and designing cyber systems and subsystems.
  • Experience in formulating solutions to architectural problems of cyber systems.
  • Experience leading research on automated C4 system design strategies.
  • Experience analyzing methods for project implementation and development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
