About the position

The General Engineer/Civil Engineer position involves managing all aspects of project management for both Prospectus Level and non-prospectus level projects. This role includes overseeing the business management of building and leasing projects from initial identification through planning, execution, and project closeout stages. The engineer will conduct site surveys, review engineering problems, prepare technical reports, and serve as the primary point of contact for various customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of project management for Prospectus and non-prospectus level projects.
  • Oversee business management of building and leasing projects from identification to closeout stages.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess the condition of structures and systems.
  • Evaluate project requirements and recommend modifications to meet government needs.
  • Prepare technical reports influencing regional programs.
  • Lead project initiation, planning, execution, and closure for complex initiatives.
  • Act as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracts related to architecture, engineering, and construction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or National status.
  • Degree in professional engineering or a combination of education, training, and technical experience.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level in federal service, applying engineering principles in construction or alteration projects.
  • Ability to manage projects independently from initiation to closeout.
