About the position

The Interdisciplinary Industrial Engineer/Operations Research Analyst position at the Department of the Navy involves conducting data collection, research, and analysis of acquisition programs. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders and the ability to present analytical findings clearly to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data collection, research, and analysis of acquisition programs.
  • Build quantitative tools, models, and dashboards for data integration.
  • Perform analysis to assist Navy leadership in decision-making.
  • Communicate with acquisition program office staff, technical teams, defense contractors, and external government customers.
  • Convert analytical findings into concise written products and document analytical data and methods.
  • Deliver oral and written presentations of findings to senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Specialized experience includes conducting data analysis of acquisition programs, analyzing program risks, and creating analytical tools.
  • Education requirements include a degree in engineering or operations research, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves
