About the position

The Interface Coordinator position at Fluor Corporation is designed to provide overall engineering execution leadership on small to mid-sized projects, including sustaining capital projects and Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA). The role is responsible for the performance of the engineering team, ensuring successful execution of engineering work, and developing execution strategies while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality standards. The position also involves promoting Fluor's competitiveness in the global marketplace by delivering high-quality services and technical competence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall engineering execution leadership on small to mid-sized projects.
  • Lead and guide the development and implementation of execution strategies.
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of engineering budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Support the interfaces between engineering disciplines and identify critical activities for project execution.
  • Review project Scope of Services and other baseline documents for all project phases.
  • Lead/support the development of the Project Execution Strategy for engineering functions.
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts to meet LTSA workload objectives.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree in engineering or global equivalent and ten (10) years of work-related experience, or an accredited two (2) year degree with twelve (12) years of experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling fourteen (14) years if non-degreed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders including management, coworkers, clients, and vendors.
  • Strong leadership skills, customer focus, business acumen, and strategic agility.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable execution plans and attend to detail in a time-effective manner.
  • Experience as a Project Engineering Lead on FEED and Detail Design projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Extensive knowledge of advanced techniques and practices in process engineering.
  • Ability to assist others on engineering problems and methods.
  • Understanding of schedule logic and effort-hours budgets.
  • Experience in developing Heat and Material Balance (H&MB) for complex process units.
  • Participation in internal and external client Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) reviews.
