About the position

The Integrated Supply Chain Program Manager at The Toro Company is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the capability and capacity analysis, specification, design, execution, and governance of large complex supply chain and manufacturing programs. This position is essential for ensuring that all aspects of program justification, planning, design, change management, execution, and delivery are effectively managed. The role requires a strategic mindset to marshal appropriate resources across functions, ensuring that program deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met efficiently. In this role, you will oversee multiple concurrent project teams that execute subordinate projects supporting the larger program. You will lead program and project-level governance with Senior Management, ensuring appropriate oversight and accountability while managing operational risks to facilitate transformation with minimal disruption to production. A key aspect of the position is to create and communicate a compelling vision, aligning team members across the organization on the need for change and the program's business case. You will be responsible for building buy-in across the organization, identifying obstacles to cultural change, and proposing necessary changes to create an environment conducive to success. Effective negotiation at all levels of the organization is crucial to overcome obstacles and ensure the success of the program and its subordinate projects. Additionally, you will identify and justify the need for third-party service providers to deliver program commitments and manage project-level tasks as needed to ensure overall program success.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all program justification, planning, design, change management, execution, and delivery.
  • Oversees multiple concurrent project teams working to execute subordinate projects supporting the larger program.
  • Marshals appropriate resources across functions to efficiently ensure program deliverables, schedule, and budget are met.
  • Leads program and project level governance with Senior Management to ensure appropriate oversight and accountability.
  • Manages operational risk to ensure transformation occurs with minimal disruption to production.
  • Creates and communicates vision, aligning team members across the organization on the need for change and the program business case.
  • Builds buy-in across the organization, identifying obstacles to cultural change, and proposing changes to create the right environment to ensure success.
  • Negotiates effectively at all levels of the organization to overcome obstacles and ensure the success of the program and subordinate projects.
  • Identifies appropriate talent in the organization to perform project management, project support, and influencing activities.
  • Identifies technologies that address site-level business performance issues in Safety, Quality, Flow and Cost and integrates them into the program deliverables.
  • Identifies need for, justifies, selects, and oversees third party service providers as needed to deliver program commitments.
  • Manages project level tasks as needed to ensure program success.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  • At least 2 years directly leading projects.
  • At least 5 years of overall experience in Manufacturing.
  • Excellent business transformation, change management, oral and written communications, influencing skills.
