About the position

The Interim Accounting Manager position at Vaco is a hybrid role that requires a financial leader to manage various accounting functions, provide analytical support, and supervise staff. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading teams, developing processes, and managing the monthly close process, with a flexible on-site requirement of three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a financial leader for the client.
  • Handle a variety of general to complex accounting functions.
  • Provide analytical support to the team.
  • Supervise accounting staff and manage their performance.
  • Lead the monthly and yearly close processes.
  • Document workflows and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
  • Proven experience managing monthly/yearly close processes.
  • High attention to detail and ability to document workflows.
  • Experience with large accounting systems/software (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, Sage Intacct).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Effective communication skills.
