About the position

The Interim CFO position at Alvarez & Marsal involves providing financial leadership and advisory services to private equity clients across the U.S. The role focuses on enhancing operational performance and value creation for portfolio companies, particularly in the Manufacturing, Industrial, and Consumer Packaged Goods sectors. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in financial management and consulting to lead organizations through complex projects and improve finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Support private equity clientele on a national basis as an interim CFO.
• Lead organizations through time-sensitive projects such as restructuring, carve-outs, or acquisitions.
• Enhance the performance of finance organizations by upgrading staff skills and redesigning processes.
• Build budgets, EBITDA forecasts, and cash forecasts to support executive decision-making.
• Develop management reporting dashboards and improve financial reporting processes.
• Manage international treasury and currency hedging activities.

Requirements

• Established track record as a CFO for PE-owned businesses with revenues in the $100 million to $1 billion range.
• Deep experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Consumer Packaged Goods businesses.
• Prior experience working with private equity backed companies.
• Experience in leading time-sensitive financial projects to completion.
• Strong written, oral, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior top-tier consulting experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite and MS Dynamics is a plus.
• Existing private equity relationships, personal or professional, are a plus.
