About the position

The Interim CFO position at Alvarez & Marsal involves providing financial leadership and advisory services to private equity clients, particularly in the Manufacturing, Industrial, and Consumer Packaged Goods sectors. Responsibilities

• Support private equity clientele on a national basis as an interim CFO.
• Lead organizations through time-sensitive projects such as restructuring, carve-outs, or acquisitions.
• Improve the performance of finance organizations by upgrading staff skills and redesigning processes.
• Build budgets, EBITDA forecasts, and cash forecasts to guide executive management decision-making.
• Develop management reporting dashboards and provide strategic recommendations.
• Manage international treasury and currency hedging as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Ten or more years of experience in financial management roles, performance improvement operations consulting, accounting diligence, or restructuring.
• Established track record as a CFO for private equity-owned businesses with revenues between $100 million and $1 billion.
• Deep experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Consumer Packaged Goods industries.
• Prior consulting experience, particularly with private equity-backed companies.
• Strong written, oral, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or other advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CFA).
• Experience with NetSuite and MS Dynamics.
• Existing relationships within private equity.
