About the position

As an Interim Executive (CFO, CAO, or Controller) at Riveron, you will provide essential leadership during periods of organizational change, including growth, distress, integration, and separation. This role involves balancing the demands of executive leadership and external parties to support informed decision-making and deliver expert financial advice aimed at improving operational results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interim support to clients as either Interim CFO or Interim CAO/Controller.
  • Lead the accounting and finance function, redesign systems and processes, and deliver strategic recommendations on performance improvement.
  • Work directly with private equity sponsors and client management to navigate complex business and financial issues.
  • Lead client teams in day-to-day functions, including setting priorities and coaching team members.
  • Partner with clients to execute successful audits and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Plan and oversee income and sales tax compliance, liaising with third-party providers.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and collaborate with the Riveron team to deliver additional services.
  • Foster trusted relationships with clients to secure new business and build long-term partnerships.
  • Cultivate a working culture that develops team members into future leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of combined experience in professional services and industry accounting or financial management roles.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting companies through significant change such as rapid growth, acquisitions, and mergers.
  • Broad skill set in accounting and finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.
  • Understanding of critical business processes related to order to cash, procure to pay, and record to report.
  • Knowledge of critical accounting issues in companies growing through acquisition, including revenue recognition and business combination accounting.
  • Prior experience as a CFO, CAO, or Controller in a private equity-owned business with revenues between $50M and $800M.
  • Experience in the Industrial, Manufacturing, Retail, Software, or Healthcare industries is preferred.
  • Experience working with auditors and preparing financial statements.
