About the position

The Interim CFO will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of a nonprofit organization in Racine, WI, due to an upcoming departure. This position requires immediate availability and is fully onsite. The Interim CFO will be responsible for financial statement preparation, cash flow analysis, and presenting financials to the board, ensuring the organization maintains its financial health during the transition period.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Month End Close
• Financial Statement Preparation & Analysis
• Preparation of board reports
• Presenting Financials to the board
• Conduct cash flow analysis
• Provide budgeting support
• Manage department level spending

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or greater in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• MBA preferred
• CPA certification
• 10+ years in a senior role within an accounting function
• 5+ years in a management/leadership position
• Strong communication skills
• Banking experience including loans, deposits, and other processes/best practices
• Broad knowledge of cash flow forecasting

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the Administration of School Choice Wisconsin program or other similar state parental choice program
