About the position

The Interim Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a property, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and achieving financial and operational goals. This role involves managing a team, handling budgets, and maintaining resident satisfaction while promoting a positive living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and analyze budgets for the property, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rent and fees.
  • Approve vendor invoices and manage communication between vendors and accounting.
  • Oversee lease enforcement processes, including resident applications and evictions.
  • Analyze market trends to implement effective marketing and leasing strategies.
  • Respond to resident complaints and service requests to promote satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist in managing client/owner relationships and provide property performance updates.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Assistant Community Manager experience or 1+ years of Community Manager experience.
  • Strong financial analysis skills to evaluate budgets and financial statements.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management software.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies for residential properties.
