About the position

The Interim Controller position at Tatum by Randstad involves overseeing the financial operations of a Las Vegas-based hospitality and gaming company. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely month-end close processes, managing a team, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. The position is temporary and requires a strong background in accounting, particularly within the gaming industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, auditing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Manage the casino's cash flow, including monitoring daily cash balances, preparing cash flow reports, and managing the casino's bank accounts and cash reserves.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) regulations and federal gaming laws to ensure adherence to all legal and financial obligations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• At least 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the Hospitality/Gaming industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Familiarity with Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations and a strong understanding of the gaming industry's financial intricacies required.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills needed.
