About the position

The Interim Director of Reward at IPL is responsible for managing all reward programs in the North American region, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance requirements. This fully remote role involves leading annual reward processes, managing employee benefits, and partnering with third-party providers for global relocations and international assignments. The position requires a strategic approach to evaluate and enhance existing reward programs while providing insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage all reward programs including compensation, benefits, retirement, and wellbeing.
  • Lead the delivery of annual recurring reward processes across the region.
  • Manage the pay management process, including job sizing, benchmarking, and pay positioning.
  • Oversee the employee benefits program, including renewal processes and open enrollment.
  • Develop employee communications and change management strategies regarding reward programs.
  • Partner with third-party providers for global relocations and immigration processes.
  • Manage third-party vendors to ensure optimal outcomes for employees and the business.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing reward programs and ensure market competitiveness.
  • Provide data, insights, and analysis to stakeholders for reward decision-making.
  • Educate HR colleagues and business stakeholders on reward best practices and trends.
  • Serve as an internal advisor on reward matters, partnering with senior leadership and finance during budgeting.
  • Participate in global projects related to reward policy design.
  • Support due diligence for reward plans in mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years' experience in reward management, with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in large complex international MNC environments.
  • Deep knowledge of reward best practices, trends, and regulations.
  • Experience in developing divisional reward strategies and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build consensus among team members.
  • Growth mindset and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
