About The Position

The Interim Teacher at Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) plays a crucial role in ensuring that students continue their education seamlessly in the absence of their regular teacher. The Interim Teacher is responsible for delivering lessons, managing student behavior, and fostering positive relationships within the school community.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or higher from an accredited university.
• Completion of District's Substitute Workshop.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company.
• Ability to work and interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Time management skills including prioritizing, organizing, and scheduling.
• Basic computer skills including Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

• Experience in a teaching or educational environment.
• Familiarity with school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans and schedules with the principal or designated teacher for the teaching day.
• Teaches lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Reports daily activities in writing and provides feedback as requested by the principal.
• Follows all school and CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures.
• Consults with the principal or supervisor before initiating any lesson not specified in the teacher's plans.
• Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classrooms.
• Oversees pupil behavior in class and during the school day as requested.
• Maintains appropriate student behavior throughout the school day.
• Maintains good relations with faculty and staff.
• Treats information about students and staff with utmost confidence.
