About the position
The Interim Viking Academic Success Facilitator at Decorah High School is a temporary role for the spring 2025 semester, aimed at supporting students in a small-group learning environment. The facilitator will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to help students manage their academic responsibilities and develop effective study habits, ensuring they reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate small-group learning sessions for students in the Viking Academic Success Center.
- Collaborate with teachers, office staff, administrators, and counselors to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Assist students in developing effective study habits and managing their academic responsibilities.
- Create a supportive environment that fosters student engagement and success.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with academic support programs and strategies.
