About the position

The Interior and Exterior Designer at Belwood Investments will be responsible for managing a variety of design projects, focusing on both interior and exterior spaces. This role involves conceptual development, stakeholder engagement, and execution of design plans to create aesthetically pleasing and functional environments. The designer will work closely with construction teams and stay updated on industry trends to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design projects from concept to completion, both for interior and exterior spaces.
• Define project requirements and schedules during the 'brief.'
• Interpret and translate clients' needs into design plans for interior and exterior spaces.
• Set costs and project fees according to the budget.
• Research and decide on materials, products, and finishes for both interior and exterior designs.
• Produce 'sample' and 'mood boards' to illustrate design ideas.
• Supervise work progress and ensure designs are executed properly.
• Work closely with construction teams and other professionals.
• Research and stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new materials for both interior and exterior design.

Requirements

• Proven experience in interior and exterior design, including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions.
• Expertise in layout, color schemes, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations for both interiors and exteriors.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other relevant programs.
• Excellent portfolio showcasing a variety of interior and exterior design work.
• Strong creativity, imagination, and an eye for design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• BS degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
