About the position

The Interior Decorator/Designer at Bob Mills Furniture is responsible for creating visually appealing merchandise displays and enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers. This role emphasizes creativity, design skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Creating merchandise displays throughout the store or in other defined areas in a timely manner.
• Creating an enjoyable, visually pleasing, and easy shopping experience for customers to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Assisting with the setup for special in-store events.
• Directing the work of Floor Technicians to accomplish furniture moves on the showroom floor.
• Using taste, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements

• A High School diploma is required; a bachelor's degree in a related area (design, art, architecture, etc.) is preferred.
• Design certifications are also preferred.
• A portfolio of your own creations would be ideal.
• 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within merchandise visual display is required.
• A high degree of creativity and initiative is required.
