Interior Design Assistant

About the position

The Design Assistant position at Rocky Rochon Design involves supporting the Principal and Senior Designers in high-profile residential and commercial interior design projects. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in the design industry, capable of managing multiple tasks and collaborating effectively with team members and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Senior Designer/s and owner building project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and purchasing agents throughout the design and specification process to ensure that projects adhere to outlined project schedules and budgets.
• Organize library materials and manage project binders.
• Produce elevation and plan drawings, furniture layouts, custom furniture, and selection of finishes under supervision.
• Conduct product research for interior furnishings, lighting, and accessories.

• Ability to manage multiple details simultaneously through task completion.
• Some personal assisting to the owner required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Outlook is a plus.
• Experience with Base Camp or similar timekeeping software is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Preferred).
• 1 year of drafting experience (Preferred).
• 1 year of interior design experience (Preferred).

Benefits

• Full-time position with a salary range of $54,074.00 - $99,856.00 per year.
• In-person work location in Seattle, WA.
