About The Position

The Interior Design Center Leader is primarily responsible for the management, development, training, and motivation of the design teams while maintaining a high level of customer contact and achieving sales goals. This role involves actively coaching design team associates to enhance the professionalism of the design services and assisting in the development of business plans with designers to increase market reach and revenue. The leader will partner with each associate to manage design projects, customer contacts and relationships, sales volume, design consultant effectiveness, and overall customer satisfaction. Accountability is a key aspect of this role, as the leader will hold design teams responsible for attaining their goals. In addition to team management, the Interior Design Center Leader will follow Ethan Allen's Leadership Principles, which include implementing change initiatives and fostering successful relationships within the team. The leader will drive new business and increase sales through grassroots marketing initiatives, which may involve partnering with local businesses, developing the Trade business, and utilizing social media, blogs, online forums, and other digital channels for online interactions and connections. The role also encompasses the development of written business plans, monthly reviews of P&L statements with the Market Design Leader and Market Operations Leader, and participation in community programs to enhance Ethan Allen's exposure and awareness in the local market. Performance appraisals will be completed in accordance with company policy, and adherence to all company policies, including the Code of Conduct and workplace harassment policies, will be ensured. The leader will provide guidance to key personnel to ensure sales growth, financial integrity, and the protection of company assets, while also implementing and monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures. Training sessions for the design center will be conducted, and participation in corporately sponsored training sessions will be required to assist in team and business development. Monthly and quarterly goal setting with all designers within the design center is expected, along with contributions of ideas and suggestions for policy changes that affect design center growth. The leader will also participate in the reconciliation of inventories and propose innovative strategies that support business growth and improvement. Other duties may be assigned as required.
