About the position

The Interior Design Director at M+H Architects is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all interior design projects and expanding the firm's Interior Design business. This position combines leadership, business development, and creative direction, allowing for autonomy while leveraging the resources of a well-established firm. The director will develop the department's vision, lead a talented team, and ensure exceptional client experiences through innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a department vision for the Interior Design Department.
• Lead business development efforts to enter new markets and expand the firm's presence.
• Oversee design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Lead the creative direction of all interior design projects, ensuring innovative and functional design solutions.
• Provide exceptional client experiences by maintaining strong relationships and understanding client needs.
• Demonstrate operational excellence by managing the department's budget and implementing efficient workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• NCIDQ Certified.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design, with leadership experience in an architectural/interiors firm.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in design software.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and furniture.
