About the position

The Interior Design - Fabric Showroom Assistant at Pindler Fabrics is responsible for supporting the showroom manager in the daily operations of a fabric showroom. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, assisting designers with fabric selections, and maintaining an organized showroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet designers in the showroom.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering emails and telephone promptly.
  • Correctly input customer orders and collect payment.
  • Assist customers in selecting fabrics for design projects.
  • Familiarize customers with the showroom, new products, and closeouts.
  • Assist outside sales representatives with customer requests.
  • Check out/log and fill sample requests.
  • Maintain fabric sample equipment.
  • Pull dropped fabric and re-work wings according to corporate direction.
  • Maintain an orderly showroom appearance.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Basic knowledge of interior design
  • Experience with cash register and POS systems
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Retail sales experience
  • Knowledge of textiles
