About the position

Sechrist Design Associates is seeking an experienced mid-level or senior designer or interior architectural designer to join their award-winning interior design firm located in Seattle, WA. The firm specializes in multi-family, senior living, high-end residential, and creative branding, working with recognized companies and developers in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will be a talented, motivated, and forward-thinking designer who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Project management of small to mid-scale projects
• Develop project narratives and design concepts
• Sell the vision
• Select and specify finishes and fixtures
• Select and specify FF&E
• Create 3D visualizations using Sketch-up
• Assemble digital design presentations for projects and creative branding initiatives
• Produce schematic and construction documents using AutoCAD
• Assist with construction administration and shop drawings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design
• Experience in multi-family and/or senior living is required
• Ability to manage the client, the schedule, the budget, and the expectations of the project
• Highly developed skills with AutoCAD, strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-up
• Knowledge of interior construction detailing
• Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills
• Knowledge of products and FF&E, their appropriate uses, relevant vendors, and how to specify
