About the position

The Interior Designer position at a high-growth dealership involves leading the design process from inception through installation, working closely with both internal and external clients. The role requires proficiency in planning workspaces, producing renderings, and ensuring compliance with various codes and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from inception through installation with both internal and external clients.
  • Plan workspaces using AutoCAD, CET, and other software.
  • Produce renderings for workstation, office, and ancillary layouts.
  • Specify systems and ancillary furniture, procuring quotes from vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure all plans and specifications adhere to local fire, safety, electrical, and ADA codes.
  • Communicate with design firms, general contractors, electricians, and other trades for furniture-related deliverables.
  • Complete site verifications.
  • Participate in specification checks.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of product discounting and margins.
  • Attend vendor presentations, product training, and outside industry events as required.

Requirements

  • BA in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Proven understanding of the design process from inception through installation.
  • 2+ years in architecture, interior design, or furniture dealerships.
  • 2+ years of AutoCAD, Revit, and CET experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to details.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to encompass the spirit of partnership and collaboration.
