About the position

The Interior Designer, Cabinet Design and Sales position at Modern Builders Supply involves delivering unique design solutions for clients, managing projects from concept to completion. The role requires a blend of design expertise, sales acumen, and customer service skills to effectively meet client needs and drive sales in cabinetry and interior products.

Responsibilities

• Qualify clients based on their wants, needs, desires, and available investment dollars.
• Discuss and identify clients' design styles.
• Create design solutions, plans, quotes, and purchase orders.
• Accurately check designs and orders.
• Discuss product details and expectations with clients.
• Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential new products and services.
• Stay informed about product knowledge, market conditions, and competitive activities through research and consultations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cabinet design.
• Minimum 5 years of customer service and sales experience.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and overall mission and vision.
• Understanding of sales, construction, and design principles.
• Familiarity with interior products and cabinetry construction.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as 20/20 Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in interior design or related fields.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and field measure.
• Experience in prospecting new clients and managing sales strategies.
